Throughout Doncaster, we support and manage a number of gypsy and traveller sites.

To help with this, we have dedicated housing officers for this community.

The role of the Gypsy, Traveller and Residential Officer is to manage and maintain sites and tenancies across the Doncaster. 

The sites we are responsible for:  
  • Lands End Road, Thorne 

  • Little Lane, Long Sandall 

  • White Towers, Armthorpe 

  • Nursery Lane, Sprotbrough 

  • Orange Croft, Tickhill 

  • Cow House Lane, Armthorpe 

  • Mount Pleasant, Moorends 

What we will do:

  • We will support tenants to maintain their tenancy 

  • We will maximise rental income, in line with our policies and procedures 

  • We will allocate pitches in line with the Allocations policy, ensuring all allocations are open and transparent 

  • We will make sure that we take swift enforcement action where there is a breach of tenancy using powers and tools available to us 

  • We will support to maintain sites

  • We will identify vulnerable customers and take safeguarding actions as appropriate and where needed
