This website is run by St Leger Homes of Doncaster.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

• Links within the navigational dropdown menu are not accessible using the keyboard. For example, this includes the link 'My rent' under 'My Home'. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.1.1. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The keyboard focus is not visible when it tabs between links within the navigational menu along the top of the webpage. This includes 'My home' and 'Advice and Support'. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The keyboard focus visible is not fully clear as it tabs through the carousel at the top of the webpage. The keyboard focus disappears as it tabs onto the next slide. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• After tabbing from the 'Enter full screen' icon at the bottom of the webpage, the keyboard focus is not visible for 4 keyboard tabs. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The keyboard focus is not visible after tabbing from the cookie banner at the bottom of the webpage. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• At 400% zoom, once the cookie menu is expanded, the keyboard focus is not visible for 9 keyboard tabs. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7 We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• At 400% zoom, once expanded, content within the cookie banner settings does not reflow correctly as information under 'Privacy Preference Center' is no longer visible. This is not compliant with WCAG 1.4.10. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• When hovering over the navigation bar dropdown menus, there is no mechanism to dismiss the additional content triggered without moving pointer hover or keyboard focus. This is not compliant with WCAG 1.4.13. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• All buttons within the cookie banner do not have sufficient colour contrast when they receive keyboard focus and the mouse hovers over them. This is not compliant with WCAG 1.4.3. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The text 'Our vision for the next 5 years!', within the carousel, does not have sufficient colour contrast . This is not compliant with WCAG 1.4.3. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The ARIA hidden element linked to the cookie setting icon should not be focusable or contain focusable elements. This is not compliant with WCAG 4.1.2. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• At 400% zoom, once the cookie banner has been expanded, the keyboard focus tabs through the privacy settings 'Manage Consent Preferences' obscured by the buttons 'Reject' and 'Confirm my choices'. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.11. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The keyboard focus is not visible when it first tabs onto the dropdown menu 'Tag' and 'Category'. This is not compatible with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by 22nd August 2025.
• The keyboard focus is not visible when it tabs onto the dropdown menu under 'What type of enquiry would you like to make?' This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The keyboard focus is not visible when it tabs onto the checkbox under 'Consent for storing submitted data. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7 We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• At 200% zoom, the keyboard is not always visible as it tabs through the dropdown options under 'What type of enquiry would you like to make?*'.This is due to the keyboard tabbing through elements that are no longer visible to users, such as 'Other'. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.7. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• At 200% zoom, some dropdown options under 'What type of enquiry would you like to make?*' are no longer visible using the keyboard. This includes links under 'Report a hate crime'. This is not compliant with WCAG 1.4.4 We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The accessibility toolbar was not applied as there are accessibility issues using the toolbar. This is not compliant with WCAG 1.4.3 We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• The text 'Log In Screen', within the breadcrumb menu, does not have sufficient colour contrast. This is not compliant with WCAG 1.4.3. We plan to resolve this by end of August 2025.
• Incorrect us of ARIA attributes causing conflicts with semantic HTML elements impacting on all accordion menus across the webpages. This is not compatible with WCAG 4.1.2. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• At 200% zoom, as the keyboard tabs through the dropdown menus 'Tag' and 'Category', content under 'Safety' and 'Category two' is partially cut off and not fully visible using keyboard. This is not compatible with WCAG 1.4.4. We plan to resolve this by 22nd August 2025.
• At 400% zoom, as the keyboard tabs through the dropdown menus 'Tag' and 'Category', content under 'St Leger Homes' and 'Category' is no longer visible for users as the menu does not reflow correctly. This is not compatible with WCAG 1.4.10. We plan to resolve this by 22nd August 2025.
• Select elements must have an accessible name. This refers to the ‘Tag’ and ‘Category’ labels. This is not compliant with WCAG 4.1.2. We plan to resolve this by 22nd August 2025.
• At 400% zoom, once the cookie banner has been expanded, the keyboard focus tabs through the privacy settings 'Manage Consent Preferences' whilst obscured by the buttons 'Reject' and 'Confirm my choices'. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.11. We plan to resolve this by 22nd August 2025.
• The link in the footer is obscured by the cookie banner when it receives keyboard focus. At 200% zoom, several additional footer links are also hidden behind the banner when they receive keyboard focus. At 400% zoom, the majority of links on the page become obscured when they receive keyboard focus. This is not compliant with WCAG 2.4.11. We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• All buttons within the cookie banner do not have sufficient colour contrast when they receive focus. This is not compatible with WCAG 1.4.3.We plan to resolve this by the 22nd August 2025.
• We are aware that some of our PDFs may not meet the full standards required. We are currently reviewing these and our plan is to make any necessary changes by the end of March 2026.
• Our ReachDeck test has shown that the colour contrast on the private rent page is not sufficient. Our plan is to change this by 31st October, 2025.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
• PDFs and other documents - The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
• Third party content that isn't within our control, such as social media 'like' buttons.
• Live video - We do not plan to add captions to live video streams that we publish now or in the future because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 4th August, 2025.
We have prepared this statement following an audit by the Digital Cabinet Office who identified areas for improvement and have or will comply with requirements as appropriate and as set out above.
The statement was last reviewed on 4th August 2025 and will be reviewed at least annually.
This website was last tested by ReachDeck on the 5th August 2025. A further test will be carried out by the Cabinet Office following implementation of the actions described above and by SLHD using ReachDeck following the implementation of the actions shown above. We will be carrying out our own testing on a regular basis using ReachDeck.
