Our local Area Teams have been out in Mexborough making a difference for customers by tidying up the estate and helping it to look its best this summer.

We were working in the Maple Road area and focussed on the many communal gardens that are shared by the tenants living there.

Team Leader Vicky said:

“We have been out here keeping the area in good condition by tidying up the gardens and shared communal spaces. We’ve been clearing out the areas that had become overgrown and getting rid of any rubbish or household items.

“The aim is to make everything look much more presentable and easier to maintain, so we can really make it better for everybody living in the area.”

We were joined by partners from City of Doncaster Council who even brought some heavy-duty grass cutting equipment to safely clear the overgrown areas that were more difficult to get to, such as on the gardens’ steeper banks and slopes. The Community Payback Teams were also out litter picking on the estate, which made a real difference and left the area looking very clean and tidy afterwards.

Here are some photographs from the day which show just how much we were able to improve things for tenants!
